Having trouble finding something?† READ the DIRECTIONS!
Directions:
1) Calendar- Use the calendar tool (see below) to find a description of what we did in class each day: journal questions, note titles, class activities and weekly homework (you have to click on the date and then the title: journal, classwork, to pull up the info)
2) Files- You can use this tool to find the powerpoint notes, most of the class handouts and the take home tests under the correct Unit folder in the Files section.

Course Description
The knowledge of history is an important part of being a responsible and knowledgeable citizen.It helps us to be aware of where we came from and how we have progressed.With this knowledge we better understand the actions and motivations of our own government, as well as peoples and nations around the world.In this class we will begin with a crash course on the founding of our great nation, the creation of its government and the principles that it stands on.We will continue with the growth of new ideas, expansion westward, Civil war and the change brought by the Industrial Revolution; followed by the devastating world wars and the time in between, the roaring 20ís and the Great Depression. Next discussing the changes brought by the 50ís and 60ís, and our countryís changing world role with the Cold war conflicts, concluded by the increasing global interdependence and events that have shaped our country in the last 20 years

Hello and Welcome back!!!! I am looking forward to a wonderful year. I love history and I love highschoolers which makes for a good combination. I promise by the end of the year you will find something that interests you too!


I know we will have a great year with lots to do and lots of learning!! This class will be work (as all good things are) but everyone can get an A when they put forth the effort!!
